Sunday Class Completed - Content and Format

I am very happy to note that because of my strong enforcement approach, all students, except for Sanzid, attended yesterday's class. Although Roufur Rahim attended the class, he arrived at least 3 hours late, when much of our class had winded up. These information are kept here for record. Our yesterday's class was divided into four parts.
  1. First Part: We discussed a very brief review of the very excellent Students' Theory Book titled "Beginning Theory". Although the book may look a little difficult at first, with continuous use, it will work as a constant REFERENCE book for the rest of your academic life.
  2. Second Part: In this part we talked of some of the plays that the students will need to complete the requirement of Direction. I believe that we talked of no less than 15-16 different plays, we watched some of the trailers of those that was available on net, we discussed a couple of these as well.
  3. Third Part: This was the final part of the class and we discussed some of the Script Ideas that has already been suggested to the students. As a practice, we discussed "Roshopuran", the latest performance by Department Students. We identified the moments of Conflict+Status Change+Intension+Action of each of the segments.
  4. Fourth Part: Finally, we identified some contemporary and historical documents. Each of these documents are very approprate source for writing a FULL play.
  5. We also decided that on coming Wednesday [8th May], we shall meet at 8.30 and will work on class till the exam starts. Then after giving the exm the students shall return to the class to BEGIN their work on individual plays.
  6. It may be noted that of the many Plays we discussed in the class today the following are the most prominent ones.
    • Equus
    • A Streetcar Named Desire
    • Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf
    • The Glass Menagerie
    • Lalla Rookh [Thomas Moore]
    • Educating Rita
